As you prepare for your interview, you may be considering which questions the employer is going to ask you. There are popular interview questions you can expect to be asked and, therefore, be prepared to discussEvery interviewer is different and their questions may vary. 

The most important tip in advance: Prove everything you say with real examples and choose answers that fit the position you are applying for.

  • Who are you? Tell me something about you.
    • Giving them an overview of your current position, then provide the most important highlights from your background that make you most qualified for the role.
  • What makes you unique? What are your strengths/weaknesses?
    • Focus on why hiring you would benefit the employer.
  • What skills make you unique?
  • Why our firm? Why this position? 
    • Do your homework and learn about the products, services, mission, history and culture of this workplace! Choose only a few things.
  • How do you handle conflicts? How do you handle stress? 
    • It’s important that your answer to this question demonstrates personal growth.
  • How do you define success?
  • What are you passionate about?
    • To answer, select something you are genuinely passionate about, explain why you’re passionate about it, give examples.
  • What makes customer service unique?
  • What did you like most about you? Why do you want to work here?
  • Why are you leaving your current job? 
  • What are your goals for the future? 
    • The best way to handle this question is to determine your current career and how this role helps you reach your goals.
  • Why should we hire you?
    • Your answer should address the skills and experience you offer and why you’re a good fit.
  • What do you like most about your last positions? 
    • Be specific and provide an example.
  • How do you work under pressure? 
  • What benefit are you for the company? 
  • Can you explain gaps in your resume?
  • Are you willing to travel?
  • Are you overqualified for this role?
  • Would you be willing to work nights and weekends?

  • Got any questions about us?
    • Take time to ask the question about their own experiences with the company. Ask questions that prove you expect to be hired. Example: 
      • I read that you are starting a project in Germany next year. I am also interested in getting involved. German is my native language and my strengths (give examples!) can support here.
